Sorry about the lack of details...

Arizona Republic Article from June 14th : Poker-parlor operator betting on Phoenix
http://www.azcentral.com/community/phoenix/articles/2008/06/14/20080614poker0613.html (http://www.azcentral.com/community/phoenix/articles/2008/06/14/20080614poker0613.html)

The same Judge who opened a room south of Tucson is opening a room in Phoenix.  It is going to be located at Poker Nation : 19th Avenue and Greenway.  Poker Nation is apparently a poker supply store front (i've never been there).

But from the article and Poker Nation's website it has a planned opening of Sunday (June 22).  Just didn't know if anyone knew anything about more than the article said....

I was just curious because it is like 5 minutes from my work, so I thought I would try it out after work sometime....

Let us know.  I know of a place around University, not sure of the name, that my little brother frequents.  I am going to check it out with him sometime and see how safe and legit it is.

i don't have any more info. if you go to a poker supply store like the one armed gambler in tempe they usually have flyers for private (non casino) games.

I played there, they have some good tournaments (they are mostly 1-2 tables).  turn out isnt that great.  they 1-2 (200nl) game is pretty good.

I played last night (sunday) and it was short handed most of the night.  6-8 players.
